Ice Cube @ Christmas brings festivity and joy to Millennium Square

Ice Cube @ Christmas brings a combination of fun activities and a variety of food and drink stalls for the public to enjoy.

The popular Ice Cube attraction has opened at Millennium Square and will run all the way up to Friday 24th December. Leeds City Council have introduced a programme of seasonal family fun as the annual German Christmas markets have been cancelled for a second year due to the pandemic.

The markets bring a mixture of food, festivities and stalls for people to indulge in but there are concerns amongst stall owners that people will not return in the same volume as the previous years. Norman Dungwa, stall owner of the Canadian Style Poutine, has experienced less people coming to his stall because of the pandemic.

Dungwa explains “It has been difficult because of covid. Before the pandemic hit it was always heaving and now it has been steady but the weather has not helped either. I am hoping for the best as the weeks go on.”
