Alex Mann played his first game for Leodiensian Rugby Club last Saturday, with him previously playing rugby back home in Birmingham at a reasonably high level. A change into a less serious environment has given a new chapter in his Rugby career.
He started playing at the age of 6 back in Birmingham and continued to play until 12 when he broke his collarbone which left him unsure if he wanted to continue playing as the injuries can be severe. With help from his coaches and family, he continued and played until he left for uni. Unsure if he was good enough to trial for Beckett he wanted somewhere he could still play at a decent level and keep his fitness up whilst conducting his studies.
