Jack Render swaps Rugby League for Rugby Union in latest transfer.

Ex Professional Rugby League winger, Jack Render signs for Rotherham Titans from Hunslet RLFC after missing out on promotion in the Betfred League One play offs. The twenty four year old now sets his sights on Rugby Union success competing in the National League 2 North competition.

Jack spoke to us earlier this week about his start to life in the opposite code.

“We’ve got a young side and having played quite a lot of games at quite a young age I’ve got quite a bit of experience about me.”

The youngster featured in Featherstone Rovers’ memorable 2019 play off run under Ryan Carr which saw the side just come up short against the Toronto Wolfpack.

“Every single young player wants to experience a game of that magnitude so it was great for myself to be apart of that run and into the million pound game.”
“It was a shame we couldn’t make it into Super League but it is something I will look back on and something I really enjoyed.”

Jack Render interview + Highlights

Render now looks to make his mark on the Rugby union scene with Rotherham Titans, after a successful debut and performance, Jack and his team mates look to continue their unbeaten run.

The Titans sit level on points at the top of the table with local rivals Leeds Tykes in the National North League 2, a tough competition filled with 14 teams.

The former Hunslet man is no stranger to playing both codes as in his earlier years he made appearances for Wakefield Barbarians which was a district schoolboy side made up of multiple rugby league players. Jack again played on the wing and added to his try tally.
