Leeds Beckett men’s football second team are really finding their feet this season with three wins and one loss in their league campaign.

Due to many players graduating there has been a huge turn over in the squad, Saul Musengeyi the player manager said: “all the freshers who have came in have really impressed me, Danny, Milan at right back, Jacob and Ethan Fox have been superb in midfield. University football is certainly different to the football they have played before but they are definitely holding their own.”

Saul puts their solid start to the season down to hard-work: “all the players on the team know how hard we have to work for each-other, the players who have came off the bench have been superb as well.”

Beckett were crowned Northern tier 2b champions and fell to defeat against Manchester Metropolitan University in the cup last season, this season they face an even bigger challenge as they are now in the Northern tier 1A division and will be competing against Beckett’s first team.
