Harrogate Town academy saw off Rochdale to reach the second round of the FA Youth cup. A brace from Jack Bray was the difference between the two sides and Harrogate now move onto face Northampton Town’s academy in the next round.
The lads look forward to facing Oldham Athletic this weekend before that fixture which takes places on Thursday 16th November. It’s the competition that means the most to them with Bray saying, “It’s the highlight to everyone’s season.”
The academy look to make it three wins in a row against Oldham and continue their good form they’ve had over the last two months.
Academy manager Rory McArdle reflected on the win saying he was “delighted”, but the team must stay focused and not get carried away despite their victory.
