Former student and Leeds Beckett Football Club’s current head of goalkeeping, George Grubb has recently landed himself a new job at Halifax FC Women.

Grubb previously had a stint coaching within Sheffield United’s academy, but tempted by the opportunity to return to first team coaching, Grubb has taken the decision to join Halifax FC as their first team goalkeeper coach.

At the Calderdale based club, Grubb has the chance to coach Northern Irish international Becky Flaherty. Grubb said: “I always wanted to get back into first team coaching, I do want to work with Becky she’s a great goalkeeper and to come every Tuesday and have Becky to work with it’ll be amazing”

Grubb will also be continuing his role as Head of Goalkeeping at Leeds Beckett FC, a club which holds a special place in his heart and he feels he owes his career to.

Grubb said: “Leeds Beckett for me has been massive, it changed my life!

“Leeds Beckett FC is a club close to my heart.”
