The Japanese-style pancake cafe, Fluffy Fluffy, is set to officially launch it’s fourth UK branch on the Headrow, Leeds at 12pm on Saturday.
To mark its opening, the cafe will be offering 100 free drinks to the first 100 guests this weekend.
Customers in the queue will be selected at random to receive free pancakes and tote bags filled with goodies.
The cafe offers a selection of Japanese soufflé pancakes along with a variety of drinks from hot coffees to Raspberry, Yuzu and Mango sodas.
Leeds branch owner, Sabah Ishtiaq, said: “We’re expecting it to be busy.”
Fluffy Fluffy’s signature pancakes have already been a great success in Manchester, the company’s first UK branch which opened in October last year.
The brand has since opened two new cafes in Leicester and Reading.
Each pancake is freshly prepared to order.
Ishtiaq said: “It’s an experience in itself because it’s an open kitchen so you see every stage of the pancakes being made.”
The brand’s signature fluffy pancakes are made with whipped egg whites to give them their famous airy texture. They are then cooked at a low temperature to create the cloud-like shape, before being topped with fresh fruits, creams, sauces and syrups.
The Leeds branch will be the first UK store to offer locally sourced, soft serve ice cream with their pancakes, with flavours ranging from vanilla to cookies and cream and strawberry.
The new cafe has been decorated with Fluffy Fluffy’s signature yellow and white interior and accommodates around 42 guests.
Ishtiaq said: “It’s quite minimalistic but bright. We’ve kept it quite clean cut and we’ve tried to keep the same theme going throughout all the stores.”
Fluffy Fluffy is expected to be a popular spot for those with a sweet tooth in Leeds.
Leeds Now were given exclusive access ahead of Saturday’s launch and were blown away by the “cloud-like” pancakes that seem to “melt in your mouth”.
