Silver’s Deli has won the coveted Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year award 2025.
The sandwich shop, located on Stanningley Road, Bramley, beat out more than 130 other nominees and 12 finalists to pick up the title.
The award comes with a £100,000 cash prize to reinvest back into the business.
Since the announcement of their success, the line at Silver’s has doubled, according to owner Chris Riley-Smith.
He said: “It means everything.
“I’ve been in this industry a long time, over 20 years, and in that time I’ve made a lot of mistakes, whereas with this I knew what not to do.
“With the prize money, the big thing is to invest back into the shop, mainly with equipment such as bigger ovens, a bigger pot wash, and reconfiguring the front of the shop.”

Silver’s Deli first opened its doors not even two years ago, in November 2023.
Owner Chris wanted to move into a different field after managing several vegan restaurants for a number of years.
As the vegan craze began to die down, Chris stepped away from the market and, with financial support from his neighbour, took the leap and purchased the plot that is now Silver’s Deli.
Having built the shop by himself over the span of three months, Chris takes great pride in his project and hopes the growth of his shop can continue indefinitely.
Silver’s Deli is not only thriving personally, though, it is also having a positive impact on the local economy.
Labour councillor for Bramley and Stanningley, Tom Hinchcliffe, said: “It’s brilliant to have local businesses like Silver’s Deli thriving in Bramley.
“To see them going from strength to strength is not only good for Silver’s but also our wider community.
“Congratulations to Chris and the team for being recognised with this award.”

Silver’s Deli is the first Yorkshire-based eatery to win the award in its four-year history.
It is a pillar in its community, with many Bramley residents believing there are few modern, tasty and affordable spots in the village.
Lewis Heard, a Bramley local and Silver Deli’s customer, said: “There’s not a lot around here, it’s somewhere local and it definitely deserves the award.
“I moved here in January, and there’s not a lot here, so it sticks out like a sore thumb.
“It’s a great spot.”
