Pop and Bark, the company that hosts events all across the country for all dog breeds imaginable came up to Leeds this weekend.

The afternoon event was hosted at nightclub Revolución de Cuba and was one of six events on the day, each one for a different breed of dog.

The company, who was founded by James Morgan and Anushka Fernando appeared on Dragons’ Den in 2023 but unfortunately left without an investment.

They have now been hosting events for six years and have hosted over 250,000 people and possibly just as many dogs.

Sebastian Maitre, Event Manager for Pop and Bark, said:

“We host six different breeds a day at a venue that we essentially takeover for the day. We’ll get all the dogs off-lead, make them puppuccinos, Santa Paws is even making an appearance which is superb.

“Other than that it’s just a nice social environment for dogs to mingle with their own breed and make some friends.”

It also serves as a place for the dogs’ owners to meet and connect on their shared love for their pets.

Helen Holmes has multiple sclerosis and believes her good health and spirits despite her condition is down predominantly to her dog Winnie, she said:

“She is my mental health, she is my well being, she’s everything. You can’t have a bad day when you’ve got a Winnie.”

The group have continued on their tour across the country as they move onto Bournemouth and Milton Keynes next weekend spreading Christmas cheer to dogs and owners alike.
