This audio explores the future transformation plan, made by Leeds City Council, for 2027 and how it will effect the city both sustainably and accessibly.
MetroLine, a bus operating company for West Yorkshire (WYMetro) has also been linked to this idea. A member of its information team, Oyo, spoke about their opinion on the Leeds travel plans idea and how reliable it sounded to them. They responded “Getting around Leeds can be expensive, especially when you’re travelling every day. Reliability is just as important as the price”.
The main focus was how members of the public viewed this idea and how beneficial it would be for them. Many expressed how frustrating transport prices currently were, especially with working everyday. Some also mentioned the busy traffic issues and roadworks causing buses to arrive late. All these issues mentioned are set to be improved as early as April next year.
