‘Buy now pay later’ apps cause worry for students this Christmas holiday

Students in Leeds are becoming more weary of 'Buy now pay later' apps, as the Christmas holiday approaches.

‘Buy now pay later’ apps are designed to make payments for items more affordable in low-cost instalments to people who, at the time, cannot afford to buy them.

A student in Leeds has advised against using ‘buy now pay later’ apps following getting into debt after falling behind on payments.

Another student also recommended not to use these schemes after reading the small print finding that it is very easy to pay for items that you cannot afford over time.
