He went on to explain that the biggest thing for him was to be himself and not be “fake” around his teammates. He explained that knowing when the right time to say things is sometimes more important then the content of the speech.

Falkingham talked about his experience moving up to Scotland. He moved up when he was 20 and stayed up there for 6 years playing nearly 200 games for 3 different teams in Scotland which include St Johnstone, Arbroath and Dunfermline Athletic.

He talked about his desire to just play football and how little he cared where he went as long as he was playing. The “ drive and determination” pushed him through and in the end looking back found it and an enjoyable and valuable experience which has helped throughout his long career.

As his career is winding down to an end he talked about the very start of his career and how he started off a Leeds united league one and he he’d love a “full circle” moment and finish with Harrogate town in league one where it all started for him.

He also stated that the sky is the limit for this team and they can make it up to league 1 and compete in that tough division.
