Three red cards were awarded to Brighouse Town players in the last two matches with two straight reds in one game reducing the team to nine men.
Captain Joshua Grant and centre back Jack Dando were both given straight red cards for an altercation between each other in the first half leaving the team down to nine men for the rest of the second half in the three nil loss against Bridlington Town.
In addition, Town defender Alexander Phillipson was shown two yellow cards against Belper Town and was sent off in the 88th minute – a game the team lost two nil.
After the defeat to Belper Town manager Vill Powell said ” We`ll have to change things up as I’ve got three suspensions.”
Brighouse Town this season have had a total of four red cards and 33 yellow cards in all competitions.
Brighouse first game with the three suspended players was at the weekend they faced Pontefract Collieries FC away, they played without two centre backs missing and captain Joshua Grant missing as well but top goal scorer Mohammad Qasim returned from his absence the previous week.
Pontefract took an early lead in the 14th minute Bailey Thompson scoring the opening goal, not even two minutes Myron Gibbons equalizes for Brighouse scoring his sixth goal of the season.
Second half comes around with Brighouse taking the lead in the fifty fifth minute Mohammad Qasim taps in from close range giving the visitors a two one lead, however after defending the lead strongly after the goal they gave a penalty and ultimately conceded with Adam Haw scoring in the 89th minute to equalize and draw the game with the final result being 2-2.
