Genna Easter almost made Horse Riding a persistent profession, however due to University and the fact that she had to sell her horse her aspirations failed. Equestrian is a dangerous sport to enter, with broken bones almost guaranteed to happen if the horse throws you off, however, as Genna says when there is a connection with the horse you feel safe and free.
Her love for horse riding started from young when she pleaded to get a lesson until her mum finally gave in. Once becoming established on the horse she got her own named Chester. She created a special bond with him and kept him for 5 years until she had to come to university and give him up. She does go an visit him frequently but she misses not seeing him everyday.
Luckily for Genna she has only been winded whilst riding, the sport itself is dangerous by putting your body in the hands of an extremely large animal. A friend of mine broke her back and was intensive care for months. Genna still sometimes rides horses whenever she can but no longer does it frequently.
