James Lawn is a third year student and is the captain of the Leeds Beckett men’s futsal team. The team have got off to a superb start this season with three wins in three matches.
Speaking on the responsibilities he has as the captain Lawn said: “I feel I am responsible helping the new lads who have came into the team and players who have never played futsal before, also with tactics as well I have been here three years now so I feel I know the ins and outs of the futsal rules.”
Lawn also speaks about the challenges he’s had to face as captain, he said: making sure players turn up on time, commitment is there which it has been, all the lads have been excellent so far.”
Up next for Leeds Beckett they play against University of Sheffield on Sunday, where they will be hoping to make it four wins from four matches.
