Liversedge FC probably don't claim headlines normally, but the Yorkshire club is the best value for money according to a recent study.

A day out at the football is becoming increasingly more expensive. It isn’t just ticket prices that are on the rise, the price of food and club merchandise have also gone up.

The chart measures thirty clubs within 100 miles of Leeds and compares a teams win percentage over three seasons in comparison to their distance from Leeds city centre in miles.

Liversedge FC who are located inbetween Leeds and Huddersfield currently play in the Northern Premier League East Division. They also sit third in the table for win percentage per mile.

Win percentage per mile for Yorkshire clubs.

Liversedge FC fan, Mitch Heathcote said, “It’s great, maybe because we have done so well the last three seasons.”

“It’s only a tenner a ticket and the atmosphere and community feel around the club are some of the reasons I go back.”

Excluding Leeds United and Yorkshire Amateur, due to both clubs being within two miles of Leeds city centre and skewing results of the graph, Liversedge sit third with a win percentage of 5%.

‘Sedge’ as nicknamed by Liversedge fans have seen one promotion, a ninth place finish and a relegation in their last three seasons, making their win percentage per mile even more impressive.

The average attendance at a Liversedge game this season is 253 fans per game, a huge difference in comparison to professional clubs like Bradford City and Huddersfield who regularly draw in over 10,000 fans per game but in terms of win percentage per game, pale in comparison to the non league side.
