As a result of ASLEF strike action, there will be no Northern services running on Friday 1 March with additional disruption expected both today and Saturday.
The strike action is taking place for both LNER and Northern trains due to their persistent failure t comply with existing agreements.
The dispute with LNER over the breaking of agreements has been going on for nearly two years, and drivers are fed up with the draconian approach being taken by the company. Passengers affected by the strikes expressed similar feelings of frustration, however many also felt that rail workers deserve the pay rise.
