When I received an email from my tutor, Katie Hall, to work on a task prior to our workshop session, I was excited to try out something new – I have always liked trying new things.
Deciding to complete the task a day before the workshop session so that it would be fresh in my mind on how the website works the next day during lesson, however, serving myself a tiny anxiety when I could not reset my password nor log in to my account during the first try.
After a few tries, I finally worked out what the issue was and how I could fix it.
First step upon working on the task
- Excitement or Nervous?
- How did I complete the task?
I have to admit that I was kind of nervous while watching the tutorial videos from MyBeckett as it does look very complicated.
Upon finishing the tutorial videos, I realized that it may not be as complicated as it seemed at first.
I was a little bit confused in the beginning as I did not realise that ‘block’ stands for the body of the article.
Hence, having to re-watch the tutorial while working on the blog posting.
Also because I was quite worried about the chances of missing out on something or making a mistake, especially since the task requires me to actually post the blog on the website.
I spent the first 15 minutes deciding on what to write about for the task, but then an idea sparked in my mind – why not a reflection on how I complete this task?
Instead of writing directly on the new blog page, I drafted my blog article on a word document on my laptop, then only moving them to the posting site.
With that said, voila – my first ever blog posting on Leeds Hacks Sandbox.
