In the early hours of Monday morning, The fire department and police were called to a small fire occurred in the Little Woodhouse area, the home of ex Beckett Rugby player Ryan Anthony

Onlookers watched in shock as the West Yorkshire Fire and rescue service arrived to tackle the blaze. We spoke to Ryan, Ex rugby player at Leeds Beckett university, clearly startled by the fire he stated ” The fire started while I was in the shower, My housemates weren’t aware of how it started or what triggered it we were just getting ready for bed.” Ryan confirmed that everyone in the house are completely fine and no items were damaged at the hands of the fire.

Although the fire looked to be minor and able to be defused, The musky and burning scent attracted vast attention from the Cliff Mount neighborhood with eye witnesses frantically alerting the fire department. We also got in contact with the next door neighbor of the affected house by the name of Alex Mann. “I was in my room when a small flame caught my eye from the house next door.”

All residents of 6 Cliff Mount Terrace were evacuated while the origin of the fire was investigated and checks were complete to ensure safety to re-enter the property. The Fire Department spoke to us briefly, Providing positive news and diffusing any ongoing worries regarding the fire. “We are led to believe there was an electrical fault in the fuse box as the box showed signs of melting due to it overheating, Causing the current black thick smoke outside the property.” From as late as 2 in the morning members of the fire department were still monitoring the electrics surrounding the house and questioning Neighbors in the area regarding fuse boxes in the area.
