Of course when you go to a football the one thing you can’t skip on is the food. Whilst watching the game nothing is better then tucking into a hot pie on the stands.

Of course when you go to the football the one thing you can’t skip on is the scran. Whilst watching the game nothing is better then tucking into a hot pie on the stands.

I wanted to find out what is the best value pie is around the area.

The most expensive pie I found is at Huddersfield Town coming in at a huge £4.50. This is despite them being in the championship. Premier League side Sheffield United costs just £3.50.

As you go down the English football pyramid the prices go down with league two side Harrogate Town offering the second cheapest pie we have found at just £3.

The cheapest pie goes to championship side Middlesbrough with their pies at just £2.70 which is by far the best value pie we have found at a football stadium. The flavors included are chicken Balti, cheese and onion and minced beef.

As we go further down the prices then become very similar with the majority of clubs like Scarborough Athletic and Whitby Town charging £3.50 per pie which seems to be around the normal price for non-league clubs.

The most popular type of pie seemed to be the well known brand Pukka Pie. I decided to try and investigate more and asked them for extra information however they said “Unfortunately, we don’t have access to the data at short notice”. They did supply us with a quote which said

“For over 60 years, we’ve been uniting football fans across Britain’s stadia, sidelines and living rooms with our bestselling line-up of Pukka pitch-side favorite pies and savory pastries,” said Isaac Fisher, Managing Director at Pukka.

“Today, we also go beyond the boundaries of the pitch (and the big leagues) to work closely with grassroots football to support local communities. This includes our partnership with YEL (Young Elizabethan League) Awards, as well as the Autumn launch of our Pukka Athletic initiative which sees us champion both the people and clubs that make a difference to grassroots football.”
