Voice piece

« Back to Glossary Index

Also known as a voicer, a voice piece is a reporter telling the story for a bulletin. It’s a clip of about 20-25 seconds long recorded on location or in the studio. You also need to write a cue to go with the voice piece.

It should be saved in the format:

STORY REPORTER NAME VP

This is the top line of the story.

This is an optional second line.

REPORTER NAME has more details:

[CLIP]
Dur: 20″
Inwords: It happened…
Outwords: were terrified.

[Include the voice piece script at the bottom of the cue.]
