I enjoyed making my news article because i was interested in the topic of the story and excited to find out more information . a particular struggle was taking notes whilst on the phone call with my 2 sources , this was because i couldn’t type as fast as they were speaking , this slightly affected my quotes but wasn’t too much of a problem as i just asked the source to repeat what he said , as well as constant note taking whilst he was speaking. Fortunately , when contacting my sources it was extremely easy to talk to them as i know them both very well and they also gave me good responses to use in my article. I tried to make my article as possible as i could , although it was my first one. I wanted to attract the reader’s attention straight from the start of it , which would then encourage them to continue reading. A skill that i learnt how to do would be embed quotes within pieces of work and making sure i use the right punctuation with these quotes.
For my 10 slide instagram slideshow , this was exciting to create but i did have some trouble in terms of thinking of an idea to create this piece on , which is why i had to think harder and be creative. I also struggled with using the editing software canva , such as adding text and pictures on the slides. This helped me learn how to edit , which will help me in future projects as i will be able t use these editing skills to create more social media content. My news story was talking about how running a youtube channel can help with future opportunities within football , as well as how to grow and be successful on youtube (to an extent). I was able to talk to my Family friends – who run the channel – and interview them. I chose this because a lot of teenagers with a passion for football might want to explore options and create football related content which will help broaden their portfolio , especially if they want to work in the football industry when they are older. This has been backed up as one of the members of the Youtube channel was able to have work experience at the team he supports – Leyton orient. I found it easy to get content as i was with them.
