During the writing of my article, I didn’t face too many problems. I was able to get effective photos of litter as well as a video which was uploaded to YouTube and linked into the article. Residing in Wakefield, it was easy for me to look for litter in the vicinity. Already being a member of the ‘OUTWOOD NETWORK’ group, the idea for my article derived from the work of Ryan Goodlad, a voluntary litter picker. I believe that he deserves to be written about because of his passion and hard work towards a greener Wakefield.

I held a phone call with the council, which was recorded and uploaded to Soundcloud, where it can be used as a reference for my article. All photos used in the articles were mine, from my phone camera.

I would say the only difficulty of writing the article was thinking about what to write it on, luckily the Outwood Network was able to help me find an idea. It was important to address why litter was an issue in society which was because of the damage it does to the environment. I covered that it was a danger to animals as well as people, depending on what type of litter is dropped i.e. smashed glass or plastic.

It was also important for the article to address what the council itself is doing to reduce the amount of litter there is in Wakefield as well as how they want the public to reduce litter.

As for the 10 slide instagram post, I found it difficult again to find a subject to write on. Eventually, I opted to go for how the women’s Euros has had an affect on women’s role in sport.

I chose this because I feel strongly about the subject, being a feminist myself, I believe it was a good choice as more people need to be made aware of just how big the women’s game already is and how big it can get.

My interview with Anna Davies shows this as she agreed that the women’s euros had helped them in the sense that it has brought their sport (rugby) more of a platform and following which they never had before.

The women’s euros brought a hype around the nation that had never been done previously, millions of England fans tuned in to watch the Lionesses beat Germany in the final, one of them being me.
